About the role
In this position, you will play a key role in developing high-quality data products that enhance machine learning applications in clinical research. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will transform complex clinical data into structured datasets, ensuring they meet the needs of various stakeholders.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Convert clinical trial data, observational data, and electronic health records into well-organized datasets.
- Assess data quality and identify potential biases, proposing strategies to mitigate these issues.
- Analyze longitudinal datasets to gain insights into outcome measures, biomarkers, and variables relevant to clinical research across various disease areas.
- Work closely with data scientists, machine learning experts, engineers, and clinicians to create and maintain effective data products that are well-organized and thoroughly analyzed.
- Clearly communicate technical findings and data characteristics to both internal teams and external partners, including in client-facing situations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, including data cleaning and harmonization from various sources.
- Proven experience with complex datasets and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Python and its key data science libraries (numpy, pandas).
- Experience in collaborative software development environments.
- Familiarity with clinical datasets in applied machine learning contexts.
- Background in multidisciplinary teamwork involving scientists, engineers, and product managers.
- Previous experience in client-facing roles, particularly in a forward-deployed capacity.
- Knowledge of clinical and healthcare data, as well as regulatory standards for clinical data (e.g., CDISC, ADaM, SDTM).

- Experience with advanced statistical analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms for data storage and processing.

Practical notes
Compensation for this role ranges from $160,000 to $180,000, with equity options available.
