IOP/PSC Team Lead - Florida

This position involves overseeing daily phlebotomy operations and ensuring high standards in patient care coordination and specimen handling. You will guide a team, manage workflows, and contribute to operational improvements. The role requires a hands-on approach, including potentially performing phlebotomy duties when necessary.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Support the coordination and completion of audits.
• Monitor patient coordination activities and specimen documentation for quality, including use of the MPX platform.
• Assist with preparations for onsite visits and observe staff to ensure adherence to procedures and identify areas for enhancement.
• Provide daily guidance and support to the Phlebotomy Solutions team.
• Supervise, mentor, and train phlebotomists, including managing recruitment and onboarding.
• Ensure team members follow specimen handling protocols and EMR documentation requirements.
• Address and resolve issues that could affect operational performance.
• Manage and track supply needs for the team.
• Collaborate with Field Sales, Clinical Operations, and Compliance to resolve issues and ensure effective patient support.
• Facilitate team meetings to share updates, best practices, and Natera's standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy Certificate as required by state regulations.

Skills & tools

• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Proficient in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and time management.
• Familiarity with clinical compliance standards.
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a clinical or laboratory operations setting.

Practical notes

• This role requires up to 50% travel for audits, site visits, and team support.
• Must adhere to clinical safety standards and wear appropriate attire, such as scrubs, when on-site.
