Natera is expanding its early cancer detection portfolio, aiming to deliver significant clinical impact. This role involves leading the strategy, development, and full lifecycle management for a range of early cancer detection products. You will define product vision, translate clinical needs into distinct products, and ensure execution through strong cross-functional leadership.

What you'll do
- Guide the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Early Cancer Detection portfolio, aligning with company goals.
- Lead annual and multi-year strategic planning for ECD products, including investment and resource allocation.
- Identify and analyze new market opportunities using various analytical methods and insights.
- Develop clear value propositions and differentiation strategies based on competitive analysis and customer needs.
- Manage products through their entire lifecycle, from initial concept to launch and optimization.
- Define product requirements, success metrics, and launch readiness in collaboration with other teams.
- Make informed trade-off decisions for complex genomic and algorithm-driven products.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative customer research with various stakeholders.
- Convert research insights into product requirements, roadmap decisions, and business cases.
- Monitor the competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in early cancer detection.
- Create and oversee business cases, including financial forecasts and ROI analysis.
- Evaluate assumptions and make data-driven investment recommendations.
- Partner with finance and commercial leadership to align product strategy with financial goals.
- Build and develop a team of Product Managers focused on innovation and lifecycle initiatives.
- Establish and scale product management best practices and metrics.
- Act as a senior product leader, influencing R&D, clinical, regulatory, medical affairs, commercial, and executive teams.
- Communicate product vision and strategy clearly to align stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 10+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, consulting, or related fields within diagnostics, biotechnology, medical devices, or health technology.
- Demonstrated ability to manage products across their full lifecycle, including successful launches.
- Proven experience leading people, including hiring, coaching, and developing product managers.
- Experience developing regulated clinical products and working with clinical trials and regulatory pathways.
- Strategic and analytical thinking skills to translate complex data into product and business decisions.
- Strong market research capabilities, including customer interviews and quantitative analysis.
- Ability to understand technical, algorithmic, and molecular concepts and translate them into product features.
- Hands-on expertise in financial modeling and business case development.
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership, communication, and influence skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on action, accountability, and results.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree (PhD, MD, or MBA).
- Prior experience with early cancer detection products.
