GTM Engineer
Job description
About the role
Nash is seeking a GTM Engineer to join its foundational Solutions Engineering team. This role involves understanding intricate enterprise systems, developing practical solutions, and clearly communicating technical concepts to clients. You will play a key part in demonstrating how Nash integrates with existing customer infrastructure.
Key facts
What you'll do
Lead technical discussions with client engineering, IT, and operations teams to grasp their current systems, workflows, data structures, business logic, limitations, and potential failure points.
Translate client needs into a detailed integration plan for Nash, outlining system connections, data formats, authentication methods, webhook configurations, data ownership, error management, and necessary system adjustments.
Construct realistic demonstration environments and proof-of-concept setups, prepare sample client data, write simple scripts, connect APIs, and build prototypes that meet predefined success metrics.
Address technical queries regarding architecture, integration, security, data handling, reliability, and scalability throughout the sales process to gain approval from client engineering and IT departments.
Apply artificial intelligence to real-world workflows by building and testing prompts, agents, tool integrations, and evaluation sets using practical scenarios, measuring performance, identifying issues, and assessing workflow dependability.
Hands-on testing of new AI models, agent functionalities, APIs, and product updates as they are released, building prototypes, examining edge cases, documenting limitations, and identifying potential client applications.
Develop reusable assets such as scripts, test frameworks, sample integrations, demo environments, dashboards, and utilities to streamline future client engagements.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams by documenting clear requirements, reproducing bugs, providing sample data and logs, and ensuring blockers are resolved.
Elevate the technical expertise within the Go-to-Market team by training Account Executives on technical concepts, mentoring future Solutions Engineers, and creating playbooks and onboarding materials.
Requirements
4 to 6 years of experience in solutions engineering, presales, technical go-to-market, growth engineering, or a similar client-facing technical capacity, with responsibility from initial discovery through technical validation.
Demonstrated practical experience with AI tools and models, including designing prompts, building agents, conducting evaluations, and testing failure modes.
Proficiency in scripting, data transformation, API interaction, integration debugging, and setting up sandbox environments or internal tools independently.
Solid understanding of system architecture and integration patterns, including REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, JSON data structures, and data flow across systems like OMS, WMS, TMS, and POS.
Experience in designing and executing technical demonstrations, trials, or proofs-of-concept with clearly defined requirements, success criteria, and a path to client decision-making.
Strong technical discovery skills, capable of working with various stakeholders to identify edge cases, dependencies, data gaps, and unstated requirements.
Comfort operating within complex enterprise environments that involve multiple regions, channels, workflows, and integrations.
Ability to simplify technical complexity into clear architectural diagrams and explain trade-offs to technical and executive audiences.
A proactive approach to ownership, strong product intuition, and the ability to work effectively with incomplete information and ambiguity.
Nice to have
2+ years in a sales engineering or growth engineering role.
