Motional is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to guide complex, cross-functional initiatives within our autonomous driving technology development. You will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of critical projects that advance our self-driving systems. This role requires a seasoned professional adept at managing technical programs from conception through deployment.

What you'll do

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of significant technical programs involving multiple engineering teams.
• Define program scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with company strategy and product roadmaps.
• Identify and mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and facilitate communication across diverse technical groups.
• Drive process improvements and best practices for program management within the organization.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to track progress, report on status, and ensure timely completion of milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in technical program management, with a focus on software development or robotics.
• Proven track record of managing complex, multi-disciplinary technical projects.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree or PhD in a relevant technical discipline.
• Experience with autonomous vehicle technology or machine learning systems.
• Familiarity with systems engineering principles.
