About the role
Motional is building self-driving technology to make transportation safer and more accessible. We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to contribute to our advanced AI systems. This role involves developing and deploying sophisticated machine learning models that are crucial for our autonomous driving platform.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and refine machine learning algorithms for perception, prediction, or planning systems in autonomous vehicles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML models into the broader autonomous driving stack.
- Conduct experiments, analyze results, and iterate on model performance to achieve state-of-the-art capabilities.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of ML infrastructure and tooling.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in machine learning engineering.
- Proven experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Experience with C++ is required.
Nice to have
- Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
- Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with robotics or autonomous systems.
