Staff Front End Engineer

Motional is developing self-driving vehicles to make transportation safer and more accessible. This role focuses on building the user interfaces that power our innovative technology. You will contribute to the development of sophisticated front-end systems that support our autonomous driving platform.

What you'll do

• Design and implement user-facing features for internal tools and platforms.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into functional interfaces.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Improve the performance and scalability of front-end applications.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand).
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress).

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with data visualization libraries.
