QA Release Engineer

About the role

This position involves managing software quality and release pipelines for autonomous vehicle technology. You will work onsite in Foster City to ensure development processes remain efficient and software deployments are reliable.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Execute manual and automated testing to detect software risks.
• Review developer pull requests and perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Manage system-flagged scenarios and perform triage.
• Coordinate with product managers, designers, and developers to address performance regressions.
• Document and track defects while performing root cause analysis.
• Validate software fixes through retesting to prevent new regressions.
• Maintain test reports detailing progress and potential risks.
• Assist with merge processes, including infrastructure support and pipedream jobs.
• Enhance developer velocity during infrastructure updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated background in a QA or software quality assurance role.
• Proficiency in both manual and automated testing techniques.
• Understanding of functional, performance, regression, and integration testing.
• Experience with Jira for project management and issue tracking.
• Ability to work on a W-2 basis.
• Must reside in the local Foster City, CA area.
