About the role
We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to enhance the positioning and messaging of the MongoDB Application Modernization Platform. This role is crucial as organizations increasingly prioritize application modernization to transition from outdated systems to more efficient, cloud-native solutions. You will collaborate with a talented, distributed team and work closely with various departments, including Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Delivery, and Sales, to set and achieve shared goals.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead strategic initiatives that align with MongoDB's long-term objectives, collaborating with Marketing, Developer Relations, Product Management, Engineering, Partners, and Sales.
- Provide data-driven insights for positioning, messaging, and persona development to guide teams in influencing diverse audiences.
- Develop engaging technical content that explains the Application Modernization Platform and its integration with LLMs and Deterministic Intelligence.
- Create and implement comprehensive launch strategies for new modernization features to boost adoption and revenue.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in product marketing, product management, developer relations, or solutions engineering, ideally in B2B technology, AI/ML, cloud, or enterprise software, with a proven record of success.
- Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, contributing to the development and execution of strategies that meet business goals.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, capable of influencing cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Solid understanding of technology fundamentals, particularly in enterprise platforms, modernization, and the role of LLMs and generative AI.
- Empathy for customer challenges, with insight into common use cases and implementation details.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to break down complex problems into actionable solutions and drive cross-functional execution.
- Humble and knowledgeable, able to represent the company as a subject matter expert in customer interactions, analyst briefings, and public engagements.
Nice to have
- Experience in enterprise platform contexts is preferred.
Skills & tools
- Familiarity with modernization tooling, migration frameworks, or cloud-native applications is beneficial.

MongoDB's base salary range for this role in the U.S. is: $81,000 - $160,000 USD. Compensation is tailored to each candidate based on various factors, including skills, experience, qualifications, and location. This salary is part of a comprehensive benefits package that may include equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, fully-paid parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, a 401(k) plan, mental health support, and health insurance options.
