M&A
Job description
in New York.
About the role
Independent models are developed and tested across every phase of the transaction journey to clarify choices and trade-offs. These models guide investment decisions by analyzing expected returns and trade-offs. You will own the construction, validation, and storytelling of these models from initial hypothesis to final board presentation. The role requires you to translate ambiguous business problems into structured financial narratives that support clear go or no-go decisions. You will act as a quantitative partner to transaction teams, ensuring that every assumption is traceable and every output is defensible. You will collaborate closely with deal originators, due diligence specialists, and integration planners to align model logic with real-world constraints. Your work will directly influence which transactions proceed, how they are structured, and how value is realized over time. This position is suited for someone who thrives in deadline-driven environments where precision, clarity, and rigor are non-negotiable.

Spreadsheet skills are tested in most loops. Accuracy and clear explanations matter. Interviewers may give a real dataset and ask for a quick analysis. Showing your work and explaining assumptions matters as much as the final number.
