Misfits Market is a grocery delivery company focused on reducing food waste by offering organic produce, meats, seafood, dairy, bakery items, and wine at up to 30 percent below typical grocery prices. The company delivers to nearly every zip code across 48 states and has saved over 190 million pounds of food from waste to date. This warehouse position involves preparing and loading outbound grocery shipments for last mile delivery locations.

What you'll do

• Load grocery items onto delivery trucks following route schedules while maximizing trailer space and preventing product damage
• Secure loads and unload returned items from trailers
• Operate forklifts including stand-up, cherry picker, and rider jack equipment
• Clean and organize production materials such as pallets
• Sort and process recyclable materials
• Inspect products and packaging for freshness, quality, and presentation standards, reporting issues to management
• Keep accurate records of outbound shipments including quantities, delivery dates, and special handling notes
• Maintain a clean work area and follow safety protocols including wheel chocks, trailer stands, proper lifting, PPE use, and OSHA compliance
• Communicate clearly with coworkers and warehouse supervisors

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the United States
• Stand-up forklift experience
• Comfort working in refrigerated conditions at 36 degrees
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to stand, squat, kneel, and bend repeatedly with or without reasonable accommodation
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed
• Capacity to perform well in a repetitive, fast-paced setting

Nice to have

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior warehouse operations experience
• Produce handling background
• Food safety certification
• Basic produce knowledge
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Solid organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
