2nd Shift Sanitation Associate

Join our team to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment that supports our mission of reducing food waste. You will perform essential sanitation tasks to ensure our facility meets strict hygiene standards for our grocery operations.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Follow all food safety protocols, including GMP, HACCP, and OSHA regulations.
• Execute cleaning duties as directed by the Maintenance Tech using approved methods.
• Manage chemical dilution for detergents and sanitizers.
• Identify and resolve warehouse hazards like spills or waste buildup and report issues to the Maintenance Tech.
• Process and record donations for partners and handle the disposal of damaged inventory.
• Keep the warehouse organized and ensure sanitation supplies are stocked.
• Use digital devices for training, documentation, and communication.
• Assist the operations team with additional tasks as required.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Prior experience in warehouse, food manufacturing, or distribution settings.
• Ability to work in a 36-degree refrigerated environment.
• Capable of working independently and following specific instructions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
• Physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Physical ability to walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, and kneel.

• Cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment.
• Computers, tablets, and mobile devices for record-keeping.

Practical notes

• Compensation is $16 per hour.
• Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance, paid time off, and commuter benefits.
• Employees receive a $1200 annual grocery box credit paid in weekly installments.
• Schedule: Saturday 8 am to 4:30 pm; Sunday through Wednesday 5 pm to 1:30 am.
