1st Shift - Loadout Associate

About the role

Misfits Market is looking for a dedicated individual to manage the loading of grocery shipments at our Hanover facility. You will ensure our sustainable products are prepared and organized for delivery while maintaining high standards for efficiency and safety.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Load grocery items onto delivery vehicles following specific routes and schedules.
• Secure cargo and manage the unloading of return items from trailers.
• Organize production materials, manage palletizers, and process recyclables.
• Operate stand-up forklifts, cherry pickers, and rider jacks.
• Perform visual quality checks on packaging and freshness.
• Maintain a clean workspace and follow safety regulations including wheel chocks and trailer stands.
• Keep accurate logs of shipment quantities and delivery details.
• Communicate effectively with team members while following company safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to work in a 34-degree refrigerated environment.
• Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
• Ability to stand, squat, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work overtime or extra weekends based on business needs.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in warehouse operations.
• Previous experience handling produce or basic produce knowledge.
• Food safety certification.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
• Interest in the mission to reduce food waste.
