About the role
The Commercial Engineering and AI division focuses on integrating intelligent systems into Microsoft commercial operations. You will join the Support Experience Group to build AI-first platforms that improve customer and partner success.

What you'll do
- Architect, build, and maintain cloud-native services that operate at scale.
- Integrate AI, automation, and agentic workflows using tools like Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry.
- Manage the full lifecycle of projects across various services and components.
- Maintain high standards for software security, reliability, and observability.
- Use production data and customer feedback to refine and improve service performance.
- Handle live-site incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and improve system health.
- Adopt AI-assisted workflows for coding, testing, and documentation tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to pass a Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter.
Nice to have
- Background in Azure or other cloud environments.
- Experience developing AI agents, copilots, or intelligent automation.
- Familiarity with Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Dynamics 365, or Dataverse.
- Experience with service reliability engineering, telemetry, and incident management.
- History of working in cross-functional team settings.

Practical notes
- Base pay for this IC2 role is USD 85,400 to 168,100 per year, with a range of USD 111,100 to 183,700 for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City.
