Media Finance & Gift Processing Coordinator at Metopera.
About the role
This position manages the daily financial activities related to media initiatives and donor contributions. You will work under the Director of Media Finance & Gift Processing to maintain data integrity and support cross-departmental operations.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Handle media-related financial transactions such as billing, cash receipts, expenditures, and journal entries.
- Verify billing terms by auditing media contracts and agreements.
- Collect and organize ticket sales data from domestic and international partners for The Met: Live in HD.
- Prepare financial reports for media programs on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Assist in the creation of royalty and publishing statements.
- Manage the year-end revenue sharing cycle by auditing calculations and gathering documentation.
- Collaborate with the broader Finance team on monthly closes, projections, and forecasting.
- Record donor gifts within the Tessitura system while adhering to recognition and restriction guidelines.
- Work with the Development department to ensure contribution reporting is precise.
- Streamline existing workflows to improve operational accuracy and speed.
Requirements
- College degree, with a preference for accounting or finance majors.
- 1 to 3 years of professional experience in accounting, finance, revenue operations, or gift processing.
- Proficiency in Excel, specifically regarding formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
- Strong organizational habits and a high level of attention to detail.
- Capability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with VBA macros and Access.
- Prior experience using CRM software or Tessitura.
