About the role
This position involves building and managing the entire order-to-cash process, ensuring revenue accuracy and reporting directly to the Director of Accounting. You will take full responsibility for invoicing and revenue recognition, a complex area that will expand as the company grows. This is a chance to shape Method's accounting function from the ground up, owning a critical process rather than a small part of an existing system.

What you'll do
- Manage the complete order-to-cash cycle, from designing processes to daily execution and continuous improvement.
- Lead technical accounting efforts, researching standards, developing policies for areas like commissions and capitalized software, and updating data accordingly.
- Establish standardized accounting processes, identifying opportunities for automation and formal ownership.
- Act as the primary accounting contact for internal stakeholders and manage accounting contractors.
- Expand your accounting responsibilities as the company grows, taking over areas currently handled by contractors.
Requirements
- Must hold an active or inactive CPA license.
- At least two years of experience at a Big Four accounting firm (EY, Deloitte, PwC, or KPMG).
- Experience working in a startup environment where you had to solve problems independently.
- Ability to work with large, complex datasets, ensuring data integrity and reconciling figures across different systems.
- Background in fintech, software, SaaS, or technology-related companies.
- Demonstrated experience owning a process from beginning to end.
Nice to have
- In-depth technical accounting experience, including researching standards, writing policies, and implementing them.
- Experience overseeing contractors.
- Previous work with FBO accounting or payments-related finance.
