System Administration Consultant
Job description
About the role
This position sits at the intersection of software configuration, customer education, and ongoing service delivery. You will join the Admin Pro services group, which helps customers get the most from their MeridianLink products through implementation projects, advisory support, and managed services. Your work is billable professional services, which means every engagement should deliver clear value to the customer while staying inside the defined scope of the Admin Pro offering. The person in this seat partners directly with customers to configure their systems, recommends sensible configuration choices and process design, and makes sure each solution matches the workflows and operational goals the customer already runs. Over time you become the trusted point of contact for a set of Admin Pro customers, handling their day to day system administration questions, advising on improvements, and managing the relationship across renewal cycles. You will work independently on tasks of moderate complexity and pull in senior consultants when a project crosses into more difficult territory. Because the role is remote and customer facing, strong communication and a habit of careful documentation matter as much as technical ability.

Project highlights
A typical week can include walking a new customer through their first configuration, answering an existing customer's question about workflow settings, and reviewing a proposed change with a senior consultant before delivery. Longer projects might span a full implementation where you design the process flow with a customer team, get approval, configure the system, and then guide the rollout.
Why you should apply
This role suits someone who likes variety: no two customer environments are identical, and the mix of configuration, education, and relationship work keeps the days interesting. You get to see the direct result of your work when a customer clicks with a new workflow, and you build transferable skills in consulting and customer management that hold value across the industry.
Practical notes
- The role is fully remote within the United States, so a reliable workspace and overlapping hours with the team matter.
- Much of the work is billable services, so time tracking and scope awareness are part of the job.
- Training on the product suite happens on the job; you do not need deep product knowledge before starting.
- Career growth paths typically run toward senior consulting or team lead roles as complexity of work increases.
