Senior Product Marketing Manager at Mercury
About the role
Mercury is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to champion our Cards and Spend Management offerings. This role requires a deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics to effectively position and grow our financial products for businesses. You will be instrumental in translating customer insights into impactful product strategies and go-to-market plans.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and implement product marketing strategies to increase awareness, adoption, usage, and revenue for Mercury's Cards and Spend Management products.
- Become an expert on our products, the market landscape, and our customer base to define clear positioning and value propositions.
- Utilize both quantitative and qualitative data to understand customer needs and identify gaps in current market offerings.
- Plan and execute go-to-market strategies, including audience segmentation, messaging, channel selection, and performance measurement.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to inform the product roadmap and drive product adoption.
- Partner with Sales and Relationship Management to enhance sales success and identify upsell opportunities.
- Work with marketing and brand teams to create campaigns, landing pages, advertisements, case studies, social media content, and public relations efforts.
- Take ownership of various tasks, from writing press releases to conducting customer interviews, to ensure project success.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in product marketing at a technology company.
- Ideally, at least 1 year of product marketing experience within the fintech sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in product marketing fundamentals, including personas, positioning, messaging, pricing, and go-to-market planning.
- Broad marketing knowledge, understanding how to use various channels and content formats to reach specific audiences effectively.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong strategic thinking capabilities, translating market understanding into actionable plans.
- A customer-focused approach, with experience conducting customer research and developing strategies based on those findings.
- Ability to analyze data and test assumptions; experience with SQL is a significant advantage.
- Adaptability and a willingness to adjust to evolving priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.

Practical notes
- Base salary ranges are:
- US employees in NYC, Los Angeles, Seattle, or San Francisco Bay Area: $171,000 - $213,700
- US employees outside of NYC, Los Angeles, Seattle, or San Francisco Bay Area: $153,900 - $192,300
- Canadian employees (any location): CAD 161,100 - 201,900
- Total compensation includes base salary, equity (stock options/RSUs), and benefits.
