About the role
This role focuses on guiding new users through their initial experience with Mercury. You will design the systems and interactions that help customers discover the product's value and build a lasting relationship with Mercury.

What you'll do
- Oversee the entire user journey from initial deposit to meaningful product engagement, encouraging customers to take their next steps like sending payments or creating cards.
- Establish the strategic direction and create prioritized roadmaps for the team, ensuring focus on user problems and maximizing customer value.
- Develop systems to drive user activation through in-product experiences, lifecycle communications, and experimentation across the dashboard and onboarding.
- Define customer lifecycle strategies for various segments and product areas, identifying key moments for intervention.
- Utilize data and user insights to form hypotheses, design experiments, and measure impact on customer progress and business value.
- Create engaging experiences that simplify customer adoption and promote recurring value discovery.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years in product management, with experience in horizontal, platform, or lifecycle teams, particularly those focused on cross-surface user experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex, broad problems into clear strategies and gain buy-in from others.
- Proven experience collaborating effectively with design, engineering, marketing, and data teams.
- A hands-on approach to execution, comfortable with details of user experience, lifecycle triggers, and copy, as well as strategic planning.
- Enthusiasm for working with talented and opinionated colleagues in a collaborative setting.

- Experience owning customer journeys or growth funnels in a product-led organization.

- US employees (any location) base salary range: $200,700 - $250,900.
- Canadian employees (any location) base salary range: CAD 189,700 - 237,100.
- Total compensation includes base salary, equity (stock options/RSUs), and benefits.
