About the role

Mercury is seeking founders and small technical teams to join us in developing our AI product suite. We operate with high autonomy, focusing on 10x outcomes through small, focused groups that function like independent startups within our company.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Identify customer problems independently and determine the necessity of building a solution.
• Develop and automate workflows using Command, CLI, and MCP.
• Iterate quickly to ship products to users.
• Analyze impact honestly, discarding unsuccessful experiments and scaling what works.
• Operate as an autonomous unit, selecting targets and owning the final results.

Requirements

• Proven track record of shipping real products, tools, companies, or widely used open-source projects.
• Technical versatility, including PMs who prototype and engineers with product intuition.
• Strong perspective on AI products combined with the ability to pivot quickly when a concept fails.
• Ability to prioritize impactful craft over unnecessary polish.
• Clear communication skills and a focus on measurable business impact and customer time savings.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience building AI products.
• Knowledge of RAG, evals, and agent harnesses.
