About the role
This position focuses on developing and distributing educational content for founders and entrepreneurs. You will be instrumental in elevating the quality and reach of our informational resources, helping our audience make informed decisions.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee the daily operations of Mercury's educational blog, from initial planning to final publication and ongoing improvements.
- Create, refine, and present engaging content for blogs, newsletters, marketing campaigns, and other key initiatives.
- Guide freelance writers and external partners to ensure high-quality output and program scalability.
- Collaborate with SEO, Product Marketing, Communications, and Design teams to identify growth avenues and maximize content impact.
- Utilize performance metrics and audience insights to drive content strategy and inform editorial decisions.
- Integrate AI and contemporary content tools to streamline research, editing, and production processes.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in content marketing, content strategy, editorial roles, or a similar area.
- Demonstrated ability to write and edit exceptionally, with a history of improving the work of others through constructive feedback.
- Proven experience managing a blog, newsletter, publication, or a similarly scaled editorial program.
- Proficiency in managing external contributors, including freelancers and agencies, to produce high-quality content efficiently.
- A strong understanding of business, entrepreneurship, finance, or related subjects, with the ability to present them in an accessible and interesting manner.
- Possess excellent editorial judgment combined with a strategic marketing perspective, valuing both content quality and audience engagement.

- Salary ranges for US employees in NYC, LA, Seattle, or SF Bay Area: $158,200 - $197,800.
- Salary ranges for US employees outside of NYC, LA, Seattle, or SF Bay Area: $142,400 - $178,000.
- Salary ranges for Canadian employees: 149,500 CAD - 186,900 CAD.
