Senior Software Engineer I

About the role

Join the Service Delivery team to enhance how internal groups interact with our platform for customer setup, management, and data analysis. This role focuses on developing robust APIs and microservices. You will contribute to the design and implementation of new features while maintaining existing applications.

What you'll do

• Design and build new solutions using RESTful APIs and asynchronous HTTP services.
• Maintain and improve current services that support both internal and external customers.
• Analyze and optimize services and frameworks for performance at scale.
• Deliver high-quality, scalable, and repeatable code.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong proficiency with Python and asynchronous services, preferably using Tornado, Twisted, or asyncio.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms like GCP or AWS.
• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes.
• Proficient in designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience working with Linux.
• Customer-focused, ideally with experience serving engineers as customers.
• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility, capable of designing and communicating creative solutions.
• Enjoys collaborative environments and committed to project completion.
• Ability to write clean, concise, and maintainable code.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, ambitious, and eager to learn new things.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and documentation.
