About the role
Menlo Security is seeking a technical sales professional to drive regional growth by helping customers secure their communications and collaboration tools. You will act as a primary technical advisor, managing the full sales cycle from initial discovery through successful proof of concept deployments.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Architect and recommend security solutions tailored to specific customer business requirements and financial constraints.
- Manage proof of concept engagements, including service deployment, user training, and technical troubleshooting.
- Explain the value of our security platform to both technical stakeholders and business decision-makers.
- Utilize AI-assisted tools to conduct account research, draft technical documentation, and prepare RFP responses.
- Collaborate with regional partners to increase their technical proficiency and support partner-led sales efforts.
- Provide structured feedback from the field to our internal Product and Engineering teams to influence future development.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and account documentation using automated summarization tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 4 years of pre-sales experience within the network security or computer networking industry.
- Residency in Singapore with the ability to travel overnight throughout the region.
- Hands-on technical proficiency with web proxies, network security tools like firewalls and IDS/IPS, and email security.
- Deep understanding of network engineering, including OSI model, IPv4/6, DNS, routing, switching, and VLANs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to take ownership of tasks and drive projects to completion.
Nice to have
- Background in malware analysis, sandboxing, host-based forensics, and Windows internals.
- Experience with network forensics, including packet capture and analysis.
- Knowledge of incident response workflows and evidence handling.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture such as Active Directory, LDAP/RADIUS, and virtualization platforms like VMware or Citrix.
- Understanding of common exploitation methods, malware families, and security evasion techniques.
- Insight into the competitive landscape of the security market.
- Proficiency in integrating AI-based tools into daily sales and productivity workflows.
