Backend Engineer

About the role

Melio is looking for a backend engineer to join our team in Tel Aviv. You will contribute to our payment platform, which processes over $100B in annual payments for small businesses.

What you'll do

• Design, code, test, and deploy features for our B2B payment platform.
• Manage the full lifecycle of product development from initial design to production.
• Work on real-time payment processing, fraud prevention, API integrations, and data synchronization.
• Collaborate with the team to integrate our payment infrastructure with Xero accounting software.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, architecture, and design.
• Practical experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience managing and running cloud-based production environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and step outside of your comfort zone.
