What you'll do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of system needs.
• Analyze existing systems and workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend enhancements that optimize performance.
• Design and implement system modifications and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
• Develop detailed technical specifications and project plans to guide the implementation of new systems and processes.
• Conduct thorough testing of system changes to validate functionality and performance before deployment.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing systems, addressing user issues and ensuring system reliability.
• Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and user guides for reference and training purposes.
• Facilitate training sessions for end-users to ensure they are proficient in utilizing new systems and features effectively.
• Monitor system performance metrics and generate reports to inform stakeholders about system health and areas for improvement.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions that can enhance our banking operations.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data integrity and security measures are upheld across all systems.
• Participate in project management activities, including status reporting and risk assessment, to ensure timely delivery of system enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in systems analysis or a similar role within the banking or financial services industry.
• Proficiency in system analysis methodologies and tools, with a strong understanding of software development life cycles.
• Experience with database management systems and data modeling techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management frameworks.
• Experience with specific banking software or systems, such as core banking platforms or CRM systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards within the banking industry.
• Certification in systems analysis or related fields (e.g., CBAP, CCBA).
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices as they relate to banking systems.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in SQL for database querying and reporting.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for reporting purposes.
• Knowledge of system integration techniques and API development.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
