What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that support our applications and services.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on server-side programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Proficiency in working with relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience with RESTful API design and development, ensuring efficient data exchange between client and server.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including deployment and management of backend services.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git, for effective collaboration and code management.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes for application deployment and orchestration.
• Familiarity with message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka for building distributed systems.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and its implementation in real-world applications.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of backend systems.
• Understanding of security best practices in backend development to protect sensitive data.
