About the role
Matter Intelligence is developing advanced vision AI by combining a unique sensor with a powerful intelligence engine for the physical world. This role involves building the go-to-market strategy for our commercial business, focusing on operational intelligence and decision tools. You will define market focus, convert customer issues into scalable products, and manage the transition from pilot to full production.

What you'll do
- Collaborate with the CEO to define commercial strategy, including market focus, customer problems, and priority areas.
- Transform customer challenges into repeatable operational intelligence products, covering APIs, workflows, user interfaces, models, and decision outputs.
- Oversee the progression from initial pilots, design partnerships, or letters of intent to paid production, including scope, success metrics, pricing, contracts, deployment, and adoption.
- Personally drive and close significant enterprise opportunities, utilizing support from the CEO, board, advisors, and domain experts.
- Develop Matter's market narrative and deliver compelling product demonstrations, even as the product evolves.
- Establish operational rhythms for account planning, pipeline management, forecasting, customer insights, product decisions, and revenue.
- Guide current account executives and deployment strategists, work closely with technical teams, and expand the commercial organization.
Requirements
- Experience equivalent to a founder or founding team member in building something complex from its inception.
- Strong product and operational judgment, specifically in converting customer issues and early deployments into repeatable products.
- Direct responsibility for significant, complex revenue, beyond just team supervision or managing existing pipelines.
- Capability to clearly explain new technical concepts, build confidence, and demonstrate products before they are fully developed.
- A natural curiosity for technology and the ability to gain the trust of scientists and engineers.
- Executive-level maturity to be a direct, humble partner to the CEO and to attract and develop top talent.
- Demonstrated focus, resilience, integrity, and accountability in uncertain situations.
