About the role
This role supports the CEO directly, leading key strategic projects across all departments. You will ensure company priorities are clear and executed efficiently, bridging gaps between teams. This is an operational position for someone who can transition between high-level strategy and detailed implementation.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead strategic initiatives for the CEO from start to finish, including defining problems and ensuring completion.
- Connect engineering, commercial, finance, legal, and operations teams to maintain alignment and visibility of dependencies.
- Translate executive goals into clear workstreams, assigning owners, setting timelines, identifying decision points, and establishing communication rhythms.
- Identify and resolve company roadblocks, misalignments, or resource shortages before they become major issues.
- Support company planning, leadership meetings, board and investor materials, operational reviews, and cross-functional decision-making.
- Collaborate with commercial and product leaders to align customer commitments, product direction, delivery needs, and business priorities.
- Work with finance and legal on contracts, approvals, budgets, procurement, and compliance as the company grows.
- Develop simple processes to improve execution without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Take on special projects requiring focused ownership where a clear functional home does not yet exist.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in a high-performance operational setting, such as an early-stage startup, strategy/business operations, management consulting, investing, product operations, or a founder role.
- Exceptional judgment, organizational skills, and follow-through in uncertain situations.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional work involving technical, commercial, financial, legal, or operational stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex information into clear decisions, narratives, and operational plans.
- High sense of ownership, taking responsibility for outcomes beyond just coordination.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with financial, operational, customer, and product data.
- Low ego and high trustworthiness, able to handle sensitive information and work closely with senior leaders.
- A proactive approach, resourcefulness, and comfort in creating structure where none exists.
- Technical curiosity and the ability to gain credibility with engineers and scientists without being a technical expert.
