About the role

Join the Shared Services team to develop foundational platform features that power brands like Match, BLK, and Chispa. You will focus on building reusable backend services and APIs that support our entire global portfolio of dating applications.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain backend services and APIs used across multiple consumer brands.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Android, iOS, and Web teams to convert requirements into shared technical solutions.
• Participate in architectural planning for cloud-native, large-scale systems.
• Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and code quality through rigorous testing.
• Contribute to mobile feature development on Android or iOS as project needs evolve.

Requirements

• Professional backend development experience using C# and .NET.
• Proficiency in designing and consuming REST APIs and JSON data contracts.
• Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architectures such as Kafka.
• Experience with relational databases like SQL Server or Postgres, including data modeling and query optimization.
• Understanding of software design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean architecture.
• Ability to write testable code using dependency injection and unit or integration testing.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code.
• Capability to manage complex requirements and solve problems independently.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical collaboration.
• Interest in or experience with mobile development using Kotlin or Swift.

Nice to have

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Background in building shared platforms or services for multiple applications.
• Experience shipping mobile features for Android or iOS.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry or Grafana.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Redis for caching.
