About the role
You will oversee the core recommendation engine that determines which profiles millions of users see daily. This position focuses on the intersection of machine learning and human behavior to ensure our matching system feels intuitive and equitable.

What you'll do
- Manage the full lifecycle of recommendation improvements, from identifying problems to delivering measurable results.
- Collaborate with data science and engineering to refine ranking logic, personalization, and model inputs.
- Build and maintain a product roadmap, managing trade-offs and priorities in a shifting environment.
- Use behavioral data, user research, and experimental results to inform product decisions.
- Communicate strategy and outcomes effectively to both technical teams and leadership.
- Ensure the recommendation system remains fair, safe, and aligned with company values.
Requirements
- 4+ years of product management experience, preferably with ML-powered consumer products, ranking, or personalization.
- Proven ability to manage a product area independently and drive metrics at scale.
- Technical fluency sufficient to guide model inputs and ranking tradeoffs in partnership with engineering.
- Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working on matching-based products such as social feeds, marketplaces, hiring platforms, or dating apps.
- Strong interest in the ethics of algorithmic systems and the human side of product development.
- A clear perspective on how AI tools can improve product development speed and quality.
