About the role
Join the Tinder International Growth team in Seoul to adapt our global platform for specific cultural contexts. You will lead design efforts to transform our app into a locally resonant experience for users across APAC and beyond.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the full design lifecycle for localized features from initial concept to final release.
- Build wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes for mobile interfaces.
- Develop design solutions that align with the specific cultural expectations and user needs of international markets.
- Collaborate with Marketing and regional teams to establish organic growth strategies.
- Create scalable design patterns and playbooks based on successful market experiments.
- Use data and user research to validate concepts and iterate on product performance.
- Maintain high standards of visual quality and consistency within the Tinder design system.
- Present design rationale to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional product design experience, including at least 2 years focused on mobile.
- Expertise in the 0 to 1 design process including research, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Proficiency in designing for iOS and Android, including knowledge of Apple HIG and Material Design.
- Strong command of visual design principles such as typography, layout, and color.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to travel internationally without restriction.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- Experience with product localization or designing for international audiences.
- Familiarity with user behavior in Asian markets like Japan or India.
- Background in improving user acquisition and retention metrics.
- Experience designing core user journeys including onboarding, profiles, or Trust and Safety features.
- Ability to use quantitative data, surveys, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Experience using AI tools to improve design workflows and productivity.
