Program Manager, Strategy & Operations at MasterClass
About the role
This role is central to bringing MasterClass learning experiences to fruition by guiding cross-functional initiatives from inception to completion. You will collaborate with Marketing, Content, and Product departments to ensure projects move smoothly through development, production, and market introduction.

What you'll do
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of programs within one or more product areas, ensuring successful delivery from initial concept to launch.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans across Content, Marketing, Product, Production, and Learning teams to keep all efforts coordinated and on schedule.
- Manage intricate timelines that cover content development, production, post-production, and market launch activities.
- Work with various stakeholders to identify potential issues, facilitate decision-making, and maintain progress on multiple ongoing projects.
- Coordinate the delivery of course materials, promotional assets, and related product features for successful program rollouts.
- Support specific workstreams such as learning design, platform integration, and the creation of non-video content.
- Collaborate with the Legal team on talent contracts, licensing, intellectual property matters, non-disclosure agreements, and release processes, escalating concerns as needed.
- Analyze and refine cross-functional processes, communication channels, and operational workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Find opportunities to use AI tools and automation to reduce manual tasks, improve transparency, and speed up decision-making across teams.
- Document and implement repeatable processes, establishing best practices as the company expands.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in program management, project management, production operations, content operations, or marketing operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build consensus among Content, Marketing, Product, and other partners, influencing outcomes without direct authority.
- A strong operational understanding with a history of identifying process improvements and implementing scalable solutions.
- Comfort with ambiguity, the ability to balance competing priorities, and manage numerous projects concurrently.
- Practical experience integrating AI tools into daily work to boost efficiency, organization, and execution.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of summarizing complex information and confidently interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration software like Asana, Airtable, or similar.
- Familiarity with content production, digital marketing, or go-to-market workflows within the media, education, or technology sectors is beneficial.
- This position is open to candidates located in AZ, CA, CT, FL, GA, IL, MA, MI, NH, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, TN, TX, UT, WA, or in Ontario and British Columbia, Canada.
