About the role

Masabi is looking for an experienced Android Developer to join the Passenger/Justride Apps team. You will focus on building and refining our native Android application, which serves as a white-label platform for transit agencies around the world.

What you'll do

• Develop and improve features for our native Android app to support ticketing, fare payments, and journey planning.
• Integrate the Justride SDK and public APIs to ensure platform features are functional for end users.
• Write clean, maintainable Kotlin code that functions across multiple white-label agency deployments.
• Utilize Coroutines and Flow to maintain app responsiveness and reliability.
• Collaborate with platform teams to align SDK and API capabilities with real-world app requirements.
• Maintain a high-quality, releasable codebase as the application scales.
• Incorporate AI-assisted development tools into your daily workflow to increase efficiency.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in Android development using Kotlin.
• Proficiency with Android Views, XML, and ViewBinding.
• Fluent in Coroutines and Flow with a focus on asynchronous programming.
• Proven track record of shipping and maintaining production-level mobile applications.
• Experience working with multi-tenant or white-label codebases.
• Ability to demonstrate the use of AI-assisted development tools in an engineering context.

Nice to have

• Practical experience integrating payment systems like Stripe.
• Exposure to working with SDK integrations and public APIs.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines.
