Senior Manager, Commercialization
About the role
This position is responsible for driving the commercial success of Marqeta's product offerings. You will act as a subject matter expert on payments and our market entry strategy, working with various internal departments to achieve key business objectives.

What you'll do
- Lead the commercialization of a product group, partnering with product, sales, marketing, and finance teams to create market entry plans, introduce new offerings, and meet performance targets.
- Determine product pricing structures, including packaging and standard approaches, to support company growth.
- Perform detailed analysis of markets, industries, and competitors.
- Support sales teams in identifying prospects, developing market entry strategies, securing initial pilot customers, and managing contract negotiations.
- Establish strong oversight and promote a data-informed decision-making environment.
- Enhance and formalize processes, policies, and workflows for scalability, in conjunction with leadership and stakeholders.
- Cultivate best practices and facilitate knowledge sharing within the go-to-market organization.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in go-to-market strategy, business development, management consulting, or revenue operations.
- Demonstrated experience within FinTech, financial services, or B2B SaaS sectors.
- A proven history of successfully launching products or solutions and scaling commercial results.
- Strong analytical capabilities, including proficiency with data analysis tools and financial modeling.
- Expertise in customer segmentation, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning.
- Ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams in dynamic settings.
Nice to have
- An MBA or advanced degree, or equivalent experience from a leading management consulting firm.
- Experience in payments, lending, or fintech, with a thorough understanding of financial services regulations and compliance.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce is preferred), marketing automation platforms, and revenue operations tools.
- Background in enterprise software sales or business development.

Practical notes
- This role is designated as Remote within the United States. Employees located within 35 miles of our Oakland, CA, New York City, or London offices are expected to be in the office two days per week.
- Base salary ranges:
- National: $163,200 - $204,000
- Premium: $176,600 - $220,800
- Premium Plus: $192,000 - $240,000
- Eligibility for annual bonuses based on individual and company performance.
