Senior Integration Engineer at Marqeta
About the role
This position involves guiding Marqeta's clients through the technical aspects of integrating our tokenization services. You will act as a key technical advisor, helping customers implement solutions for provisioning payment cards to digital wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay across various platforms.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Educate key client technical contacts on Marqeta's platform and integration processes.
- Manage the technical onboarding of clients, offering guidance, configuring environments, and resolving issues.
- Become a specialist in Marqeta's tokenization APIs, establishing and sharing best practices.
- Identify potential integration challenges and their wider implications, while also handling detailed tasks.
- Collaborate with clients to troubleshoot integration problems, referencing documentation and diagnosing errors.
- Support internal delivery and onboarding teams with tokenization expertise and represent client needs in external discussions.
- Work with Product, Engineering, and other departments to refine client technical onboarding workflows.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Marqeta's products and features, feeding implementation insights and client feedback to Product and Technology teams.
- Communicate technical information clearly, considering best practices, regulations, and platform updates.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as sales engineering, implementation, or technical account management.
- Strong understanding of API concepts and ability to explain them to technical clients.
- Experience using tools like Bruno or Postman.
- Ability to comprehend complex client requirements and articulate technical solutions effectively, adapting recommendations to client needs.
- Skill in identifying client onboarding obstacles and collaborating internally to create scalable solutions.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines.
- Experience in the B2B technology sector.
- A solid grasp of payments, particularly in card issuing, tokenization, networks, and point-of-sale systems.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Practical notes
- This role is remote within the United States. Compensation is determined by location tier: National, Premium, or Premium Plus.
- Base salary ranges:
- National: $112,700 - $140,900
- Premium: $122,000 - $152,500
- Annual bonuses are awarded based on individual and company performance.
