Associate Account Manager

About the role

Marqeta is seeking an entrepreneurial Associate Account Manager to join our Global Strategic Partnerships team. You will support a global strategic account by building strong client relationships, identifying revenue growth opportunities, and ensuring the successful operation of payment programs.

What you'll do

• Assist the POD leader in managing key business accounts and daily portfolio operations.
• Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities to grow revenue.
• Serve as a primary point of contact to help customers manage their payment programs.
• Produce monthly reports and content regarding customer metrics and updates for the Revenue and Go-To-Market teams.
• Conduct deep-dive analysis on business, technology, and pipeline trends.
• Develop high-impact presentation materials and executive briefing documents.
• Proactively suggest process improvements to increase team efficiency.

Requirements

• 3+ years of enterprise account management experience, preferably within banking, payments, or fintech.
• Proven ability to manage global customers with complex stakeholder maps.
• Strong data literacy with the ability to use metrics to inform account strategy.
• Excellent communication skills for both internal collaboration and executive-level engagement.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments and make decisions with limited information.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and interest in using AI tools for efficiency.

Nice to have

• Background in card issuing, acquiring, payment processing, or embedded payments.

Practical notes

• OTE range: 84,000 - 105,000 CAD.
