This position involves developing and troubleshooting analytical methods, and integrating new instruments and procedures. We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and mechanical aptitude.

What you'll do

• Support and optimize analytical methods across Mariana Minerals' lab sites.
• Resolve issues related to analytical techniques, data quality, and method performance.
• Lead the implementation of new instruments like ICP-OES, ICP-MS, or Atomic Absorption systems.
• Create, validate, and standardize analytical methods and workflows.
• Train lab staff on instruments, analytical techniques, and best practices.
• Work with other teams to improve analytical efficiency and data reliability.
• Help evaluate new technologies and suggest system improvements.
• Keep documentation for methods, standard operating procedures, and internal technical guidance.
• Offer internal technical support for complex analytical problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related scientific field. Recent graduates are welcome.
• Practical experience (academic, internship, or research) with ICP-OES, ICP-MS, Atomic Absorption, or similar analytical instruments is preferred.
• Solid grasp of analytical techniques, sample preparation, and data interpretation.
• Mechanical aptitude, including comfort with tools, instrument parts, and basic diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters).
• Strong ability to solve problems and troubleshoot.
• Excellent communication skills for training and supporting internal teams.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively across different sites.

Practical notes

• This role requires up to 75% travel, mainly within the continental United States. Occasional international travel may also be necessary.
