About the role

Mach Industries is expanding its defense technology workforce and needs a recruiter to build out our engineering and manufacturing departments. You will manage the full hiring cycle to support our mission of creating autonomous defense platforms.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with engineering leads to establish hiring needs and draft job postings.
• Identify and engage candidates through LinkedIn, industry forums, and events.
• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process from initial outreach through offer negotiation.
• Develop and maintain talent pipelines for specialized technical positions.
• Design and implement recruiting workflows to improve hiring speed and quality.
• Advise leadership on market trends, salary benchmarks, and hiring strategies.
• Act as a company representative at university partnerships and industry conferences.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in technical recruiting, sales, or business operations within deep tech or hard tech, OR a Bachelor degree with 1+ years of experience in these fields.
• Proven track record of sourcing and closing candidates in competitive industries.
• Understanding of engineering organizational structures and technical roles.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple high-priority tasks in a rapid-growth environment.

Nice to have

• Experience working in startups or high-growth companies.
• Knowledge of Department of Defense contracting or security clearance hiring.
• Familiarity with Ashby and LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Interest in defense technology and national security.
• Experience building recruitment processes from scratch.
