About the role
Mach Energetics is looking for a Facilities Manager to direct the upkeep and operational efficiency of our physical sites and infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring our workspaces remain safe, functional, and compliant with all relevant regulations.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the daily operation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of all company facilities and infrastructure.
- Direct preventative maintenance schedules for utilities, equipment, and building systems.
- Supervise facility renovations, repairs, and various construction projects.
- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to meet budget and timeline targets.
- Track the performance of critical infrastructure, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Oversee the documentation of permits and compliance records.
- Perform regular site inspections to boost safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Create internal procedures, accountability systems, and operational checklists.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or equivalent professional background.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, construction, or operations within industrial, aerospace, manufacturing, or technical sectors.
- Proven ability to manage facility systems such as HVAC, plumbing, utilities, and electrical infrastructure.
- Experience running maintenance programs, managing work orders, and handling vendor relationships.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Nice to have
- Background in defense, hardware development, or aerospace organizations.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards, safety programs, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience managing subcontractors and external service providers.
- Familiarity with facility management software and preventative maintenance systems.
- Experience working within high-growth or startup companies.
