CNC Machine Programmer

About the role

Mach Industries is building autonomous defense platforms and needs a skilled programmer to manage the production of precision components. You will work on-site in Huntington Beach to transform technical designs into functional hardware for national security systems. This role requires a hands-on approach to machining, from initial programming to final quality verification.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Translate technical blueprints and CAD models into programs for multi-axis milling and turning equipment.
• Manage the full setup and operation of CNC machinery using CAM software.
• Create custom fixtures and workholding setups to improve production accuracy.
• Run 5-axis mills, live tooling lathes, and mill-turn machines to create mission-critical parts.
• Identify and resolve machining errors while optimizing programs for better throughput.
• Conduct quality inspections using GD&T standards and precision measurement tools.
• Maintain equipment to ensure long-term operational reliability.
• Partner with engineering teams to refine designs for better manufacturability during R&D and production.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in CNC programming with CAM software.
• 5+ years of experience setting up and operating multi-axis and 3D machining systems.
• Proficiency with G and M codes, GD&T, and Fanuc, Siemens, or Brother controls.
• Background in machining a variety of metals, alloys, and plastics to high tolerances.
• Ability to manage the manufacturing workflow from initial code to final part inspection.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

• Advanced skills in 5-axis simultaneous programming.
• Experience with SolidWorks or Siemens NX (Teamcenter).
• Background in CMM programming, water jet cutting, or 3D printing (FDM/SLA).
• Familiarity with defense manufacturing quality standards.
