Assoc. Security Specialist

About the role

This position involves managing daily security operations to maintain a safe and compliant environment at our facilities. You will act as a frontline lead, coordinating security personnel, overseeing access control, and responding to incidents.

What you'll do

• Direct security staff during shifts and ensure adherence to post orders.
• Manage access points, including visitor and contractor entry, badge verification, and vehicle movement.
• Perform routine patrols, equipment inspections, and site checks.
• Document incidents, prepare shift reports, and maintain accurate logs.
• Support emergency response efforts by securing areas and gathering initial details.
• Train and mentor new security team members.
• Communicate security policies to staff and visitors while maintaining professional standards.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in security operations within industrial, manufacturing, corporate, or large-scale facilities.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and escalation protocols.
• Strong observation skills to detect risks or policy breaches.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to remain calm during incidents.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a team leader, senior guard, or security receptionist.
• Background in military, law enforcement, or corporate security.
• Valid security license, first aid, fire warden, or emergency response certifications.
• Familiarity with visitor management and access control systems.
