Community Manager, Virtual Spaces
Job description
About the role
You will own the full virtual community surface for Lovable, orchestrating the always-on spaces including Discord, Reddit, and Facebook while running the live virtual programs that reach our global audience every week. This is an on-site role based in New York that requires regular travel to support our distributed team and community events. You will act as the primary steward of community health, ensuring that each platform maintains its unique culture while advancing our shared growth goals. You will translate the vision of product and marketing into lived experiences that make members feel seen and valued. Ultimately, you will be responsible for turning passive observers into active builders who show up consistently across our channels.
Key facts
OWN THE ALWAYS-ON SPACES
Operate the day-to-day management of the Lovable Discord server with over 100,000 members, the r/lovable subreddit, and our official Facebook groups, focusing on programming, structure, safety, and culture.
Maintain the distinct personality of each platform, preserving the build-together energy of Discord, the community-led candor of Reddit, and the accessibility of Facebook for newer audiences.
Design and enforce moderation systems end-to-end, including guidelines, automod tooling, and incident response, so that moderation operates as a background function while a healthy, self-sustaining community remains the goal.
Scale Reddit and Facebook from static presences into thriving, self-driven communities that require minimal day-to-day intervention.
RUN THE VIRTUAL PROGRAM ENGINE
Own Lovable's live virtual session strategy, running two to three programs per week that span educational webinars, live builds, office hours, and persona-based series mapped across the ideate to build to run to grow journey.
Book and coordinate hosts from the Lovable team, product marketing, executives, external experts, and community leaders, while crafting compelling event descriptions and managing calendars and assets for every session.
Oversee the recording pipeline, ensuring that every session is captured, edited, and published to the Community Hub replay library so that content compounds over time.
Recruit, coach, and develop community hosts across the company and broader community, enabling the program to scale beyond what you can run alone through community-led sessions.
CHAMPION THE CHAMPIONS
Run the Community Champions program by recruiting, onboarding, and supporting volunteer leaders known as Champions and Super Champions who guide, moderate, and energize the server.
Know your community leaders on a personal level, understanding their motivations, contexts, and builder identities, and make the program feel like a lasting relationship rather than a transactional portal.
CLOSE THE LOOP
Surface what the community is saying, including feedback, friction, feature requests, session Q and A, and observations from the field, to product, product marketing, and marketing on a recurring cadence.
Own the quality of the community CRM pipeline, ensuring that registration data such as persona, city, and contact information feeds B2B campaigns, growth content, and enterprise marketing initiatives.
Track and report on community health across every surface using metrics such as activity, retention, peer-support resolution, sentiment, attendance, RSVP-to-attendance rate, post-event NPS, and replay views.
Celebrate community wins loudly and consistently, ensuring that when someone ships something great, the entire community and the company recognize the achievement.
Requirements
6+ years of experience across community management, events, virtual programs, or developer relations, including time when you were the person a large community actually knew.
You have built and run a recurring virtual program end-to-end inside an early stage or high-growth technology company.
You demonstrate deep platform fluency, understanding Discord mechanics such as roles, permissions, bots, and voice culture, as well as Reddit dynamics including moderation norms and what a subreddit will and will not tolerate from a brand.
You are a confident live host and facilitator who is comfortable on camera, quick on your feet during Q and A, and able to make a session with 30 people feel as engaging as one with 500.
You have experience recruiting, supporting, and retaining volunteer leaders, including moderators and champions, who keep a community healthy over time.
You exercise tight judgment on moderation and escalation, knowing when to act, when to de-escalate, and when to let the community handle issues itself.
You operate as a strong operator with production rigor, ensuring that hosts are booked, assets are shipped, calendars are accurate, and events are delivered every week without being chased.
You have builder instincts, either having shipped something yourself or being deeply obsessed with people who do meaningful creation work.
You are comfortable coordinating across time zones and markets spanning the United States, Brazil, and Europe.
