Sr. Solutions Engineer

About the role

LogicMonitor is hiring a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our Professional Services team in Austin. You will lead complex technical deployments and create custom automation to support our enterprise customers.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Manage large-scale technical engagements from start to finish.
• Develop custom integrations using REST APIs to expand platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with Product and Development teams to report gaps and feature requests.
• Design, code, and test new automation tools and system enhancements.
• Mentor team members on advanced scripting topics like Big O notation, multi-threading, and data caching.
• Assist Solutions Architects with scoping complex customer projects.
• Resolve technical issues within automation and application layers.
• Apply agile methodologies to ensure rapid and high-quality project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of software development experience in commercial or enterprise settings.
• 3+ years of hands-on development using Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of modern web architectures, microservices, and APIs.
• Working knowledge of AWS and other cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in debugging and core programming concepts.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, VMware VCP, CCNA, or MCSA.
• Experience with container and automation tools like Docker, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack.
• Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure including Cisco, Citrix, Dell, EMC, F5, IBM, NetApp, Palo Alto, or VMware.
• Knowledge of server administration for Apache, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Microsoft IIS, SQL Server, Exchange, or Active Directory.
• Experience with Lambda functions, application monitoring, Ruby, or JavaScript.

Practical notes

• Salary range: $94,815 to $130,410 USD.
• Work authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without new employer sponsorship. Transfers for existing valid statuses may be considered.
