About the role
Life360 is seeking a Senior UX Designer to shape the web experience for our direct-to-consumer offerings. This role blends hands-on design with user research to ensure our website effectively communicates our value and drives customer engagement. You will be instrumental in creating intuitive and compelling digital journeys that foster long-term user loyalty.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead the design and user experience for Life360's direct-to-consumer web properties, including subscription choices, purchase processes, and product pages.
- Develop and execute qualitative research initiatives, such as user interviews and usability tests, to gather insights that inform design decisions.
- Create prototypes and design variations for A/B testing, working closely with the Site Optimization Manager to translate hypotheses into actionable designs.
- Map out the complete customer journey across web touchpoints, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities to enhance user satisfaction.
- Synthesize data from user behavior tools and qualitative feedback to build a comprehensive understanding of customer needs.
- Contribute to the evolution of the web design system, ensuring consistency and adherence to accessibility standards across platforms.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
- Partner with Merchandising and Creative teams on product presentation and site navigation to optimize conversion rates.
- Conduct competitive analysis and stay informed about emerging UX trends in the eCommerce and subscription sectors.
Requirements
- Possess 5-8 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a portfolio showcasing your design process and research methodology.
- Demonstrable experience designing for eCommerce or direct-to-consumer web platforms, including subscription models and checkout optimization.
- Proven ability to plan, conduct, and synthesize qualitative user research, directly linking findings to design outcomes.
- Proficient in Figma for design and prototyping, with experience managing and contributing to design systems.
- Familiarity with behavioral analytics tools like Noibu, Hotjar, or FullStory.
- Experience using AI-assisted prototyping tools for rapid iteration.
- Understanding of A/B testing principles and how to design testable variations.
- Strong systems thinking capabilities, with the ability to design scalable components and consider the entire customer journey.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating design rationale and research insights to diverse stakeholders.
- Expertise in responsive and mobile-first web design principles.
- A Bachelor's degree in User-Centered Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, or a related field.

- Experience with international web experiences and regional market considerations.

Practical notes
- Salary range for US-based candidates: $129,000 to $190,000 USD.
- Salary range for Canada-based candidates: $149,500 to $176,000 CAD.
