Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

Lendbuzz is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to help protect our financial technology platform. You will be instrumental in identifying and responding to security threats, maintaining our security tools, and ensuring our policies are effectively implemented. This position is for someone who can analyze risks, enforce security standards, and contribute to a strong defense posture.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Watch and examine security logs and alerts for unusual events
• Investigate and address security incidents to lessen potential dangers
• Create, put into practice, and uphold company security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with best practices and industry standards
• Perform security risk evaluations and vulnerability scans to find potential weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications, then suggest ways to fix them
• Oversee and maintain critical security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint detection and response, identity and access management, and cloud security posture management solutions
• Deliver security awareness training to staff to encourage safe practices
• Keep current on new cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related area
• At least 3 years of experience in cyber security or a similar field
• Solid understanding of cyber security threats and vulnerabilities
• Solid understanding of security tools and technologies
• Experience with network security, endpoint security, and cloud security
• Familiarity with security frameworks and best practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work well alone and with a team
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure
