About the role
This position supports the US Compliance department by managing cross-functional projects for Legal & Compliance leadership and overseeing the Compliance Management System. You will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives and ensuring the daily operations of the compliance program are maintained.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead and track progress for strategic projects initiated by Legal & Compliance leadership.
- Develop clear action plans, assign responsibilities, and set deadlines for evolving priorities.
- Prepare executive summaries, briefing materials, and meeting agendas for leadership.
- Proactively identify and resolve project roadblocks, fostering a sense of urgency among stakeholders.
- Contribute to the upkeep and review of policies, procedures, and compliance training to align with regulations and business operations.
- Support the execution of monitoring and testing activities, documenting findings and tracking remediation.
- Assist with complaints and issue management, analyzing data to identify trends and root causes.
- Prepare documentation and coordinate logistics for internal and external audits and regulatory examinations.
- Utilize AI tools to enhance document review, data analysis, and reporting efficiency.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in a compliance, risk, or regulatory project/program management role within a fintech or bank partnership context.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for tracking compliance programs and documentation.
- Understanding of bank partnership management and the compliance requirements set by partner banks.
- Knowledge of relevant US financial services regulations, including UDAAP, TILA, ECOA, FCRA, BSA/AML, and GLBA.
- Strong analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to interpret data.
- A proactive approach with a strong inclination towards taking action.
- Comfort with evaluating and adopting AI tools to improve work speed and effectiveness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of collaborating with various levels of leadership, subject matter experts, and external partners.
