Key facts
What you'll do
- Act as the primary expert for home insurance state rating plans.
- Lead the creation and integration of predictive modeling projects, collaborating with the Data Science team.
- Prepare rate filing documentation for new machine learning models.
- Suggest pricing and underwriting adjustments based on ongoing performance reviews.
- Build a knowledge base of competitor rating strategies and the overall market.
- Develop rates and pricing strategies for product expansions into new states.
- Help design and build internal pricing software for advanced analytics, supporting real-time decisions and growth.
- Provide guidance and training to other analysts.
Requirements
- Four or more years of experience with statistical modeling.
- Previous work experience in the insurance industry.
- Advanced experience creating and implementing predictive models using supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods, such as GLM, decision trees, and gradient boosting machines.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Competence in data science programming languages like R or Python (preferred), and database query tools such as SQL.
- Capability to work effectively in a remote setting.
- A genuine interest in learning about and adapting to artificial intelligence.
