What you'll do

• Act as the primary expert for home insurance state rating plans.
• Lead the creation and integration of predictive modeling projects, collaborating with the Data Science team.
• Prepare rate filing documentation for new machine learning models.
• Suggest pricing and underwriting adjustments based on ongoing performance reviews.
• Build a knowledge base of competitor rating strategies and the overall market.
• Develop rates and pricing strategies for product expansions into new states.
• Help design and build internal pricing software for advanced analytics, supporting real-time decisions and growth.
• Provide guidance and training to other analysts.

Requirements

• Four or more years of experience with statistical modeling.
• Previous work experience in the insurance industry.
• Advanced experience creating and implementing predictive models using supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods, such as GLM, decision trees, and gradient boosting machines.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Competence in data science programming languages like R or Python (preferred), and database query tools such as SQL.
• Capability to work effectively in a remote setting.
• A genuine interest in learning about and adapting to artificial intelligence.
