Key facts
What you'll do
- Take ownership of and become an expert in our home insurance state rating plans.
- Lead the creation and integration of predictive modeling initiatives, collaborating closely with the Data Science team.
- Prepare rate filing documentation for new machine learning models.
- Provide recommendations for pricing and underwriting adjustments based on performance analysis.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of competitor pricing tactics and the broader market landscape.
- Define rates and pricing strategies for product launches in new states.
- Contribute to the design and development of internal tools for advanced analytics to support real-time decision-making and growth.
- Guide and mentor junior analysts.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in statistical modeling.
- Previous experience within the insurance sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and deploying predictive models using supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques, including GLM, decision trees, and gradient boosting machines.
- A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a comparable field.
- Proficiency in programming languages like R or Python, and database query tools such as SQL.
- Ability to perform effectively in a remote work setting.
- A strong interest in learning and adapting to advancements in AI.
