About the role
LeafLink is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to contribute to building and refining our large-scale B2B platform. This role focuses on creating sophisticated user interfaces and the Python services that support them, offering an opportunity to own features from conception to deployment.

What you'll do
Develop and maintain scalable frontend applications using Vue 3, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
Take ownership of complex features, including their user interface, API interactions, and backend Python services.
Construct and manage backend services and APIs in Python to power product functionalities.
Create reusable frontend components and architectural patterns to enhance development efficiency.
Enhance application performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and overall reliability.
Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into high-quality user experiences.
Write comprehensive tests across the technology stack using tools like Vitest, Vue Test Utils, Playwright, and pytest.
Participate in code reviews and provide guidance to other engineers on frontend best practices.
Contribute to improvements in continuous integration, continuous deployment, observability, monitoring, and release quality.
Help uphold strong standards for security, privacy, and the safe handling of user data.
Utilize AI-powered development tools, such as Claude, to speed up software design, implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, and code review.
Apply sound engineering judgment when evaluating AI-generated solutions, ensuring correctness, maintainability, security, performance, and alignment with architectural standards.
Craft effective prompts and provide necessary technical context to AI tools for generating accurate, production-ready code and documentation.
Use AI tools responsibly, adhering to company security policies for sensitive information.
Share effective AI workflows, reusable prompts, and best practices to boost team productivity and quality, and evaluate new AI development tools.
Requirements
Over 5 years of experience building production web applications with complex and evolving front-end user experiences.
Extensive experience with Vue.js, particularly Vue 3 and the Composition API, and strong command of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Professional experience developing backend services and APIs using Python.
Familiarity with state management patterns and libraries like Pinia or Vuex, and a solid understanding of component architecture and design systems.
Experience integrating applications with REST, GraphQL, or event-driven APIs.
Proven experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
Understanding of frontend performance optimization techniques, including bundle analysis, caching, lazy loading, and Core Web Vitals.
Familiarity with accessibility standards like WCAG and semantic HTML.
Experience working with relational databases.
Hands-on professional experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude, Copilot, Cursor) in your daily work.
Experience in agile environments with cross-functional teams, with a demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives with minimal oversight.
An interest in the cannabis industry and/or the LeafLink brand.

Practical notes
Compensation range: $145,000 - $200,000 USD annually.
