Senior Full Stack Engineer II

About the role

LeafLink operates a large-scale B2B platform for the cannabis industry, facilitating over 5 billion dollars in annual wholesale orders. We are looking for a frontend-focused engineer to help lead a major platform overhaul while managing the Python services that power these interfaces.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain frontend applications using Vue 3, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
• Manage feature development from initial design through to production, including UI and backend Python services.
• Create reusable components and architectural patterns to increase team output.
• Improve application responsiveness, accessibility, and performance metrics.
• Write comprehensive tests using Vitest, Vue Test Utils, Playwright, and pytest.
• Use AI tools like Claude for coding, debugging, and documentation while maintaining strict security and quality standards.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to implement user-facing features.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor other engineering staff.
• Include the word grass in your application.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building complex, production-grade web applications.
• Proficiency with Vue.js (specifically Vue 3 and Composition API), TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Professional experience developing backend APIs and services using Python.
• Experience with state management libraries like Pinia or Vuex.
• Familiarity with REST, GraphQL, or event-driven API integrations.
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Knowledge of frontend performance optimization and WCAG accessibility standards.
• Experience working with relational databases.
• Regular, hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Copilot, or Claude.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives independently within an agile environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerized environments including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Interest in the cannabis industry or the LeafLink brand.

• Compensation: Base salary range of 145,000 to 200,000 USD.
